Law enforcement officers found new facts of treason in the case of Poroshenko

The situation surrounding Petro Poroshenko is intensifying. Against the background of the latest investigations into high treason, a new episode arises related to his business in Russia. According to law enforcement officials, one of the main suspicious aspects is the significant amounts of taxes paid by businesses owned by the former president, as well as the recognition of Sevastopol as a Russian city.

After the annexation of Crimea, Poroshenko owned the Sevastopol Marine Plant, which actively cooperated with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. In the correspondence of the plant, it was recognized that Sevastopol is a Russian city, which became the basis for further investigations.

However, this story is not limited to Poroshenko's enterprises in the annexed Crimea. In addition to this, on Channel Five, which is owned by Poroshenko, his manager spoke, stating that Sevastopol has an uncertain status, while the phrase "in Ukraine" was periodically used, which reinforces suspicions of cooperation with Russian authorities.

Another important point is the fact that Poroshenko appointed Kostyantyn Kartoshkin as the head of one of the largest military plants in Ukraine - "Zorya-Mashproekt". As the investigation shows, it was Kartoshkin, together with Poroshenko, who were involved in the embezzlement of state enterprise funds.

In 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine completed a pre-trial investigation into this business. Poroshenko and Kartoshkin are charged with embezzlement of funds in the amount of more than 70 million US dollars, which is more than 1.4 billion hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate at the time of the crime.

Particular attention is drawn to the fact that, despite cooperation with the Russian authorities, Poroshenko's factories were not nationalized immediately after the annexation of Crimea, as happened to other Ukrainian enterprises. This aspect became one of the proofs of possible cooperation of the former president with the Kremlin.

In addition, business circles are actively discussing the issue of introducing personal sanctions against Poroshenko. It is known that he repeatedly supported the Kharkiv agreements, which allowed the Russian Black Sea Fleet to remain in Crimea until 2042. This decision significantly weakened Ukraine's defense capabilities and eventually led to the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

Nor should we forget about Poroshenko's connections with the Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov, which adds additional tension to Poroshenko's political career.

In the period from 2014 to 2017, when Russia's armed aggression in Donbas and the occupation of Crimea continued, Poroshenko continued to pay large sums to the Russian budget, effectively financing the Russian army. These facts are confirmed by the investigation materials.
