Alexander Antal has a long political biography - he was elected five times to the Transcarpathian Regional Council, including from the Party of Regions, the Opposition Bloc and the Future. It formally declares only a pension of 32 thousand hryvnias a year and the complete lack of real estate or valuable property.
However, his family has 10 land plots, 4 million hryvnias, $ 50,000 in cash, as well as other real estate he hides in the declaration. These facts raise serious issues in anti -corruption bodies.
The investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and Antal itself is now in custody. Other high -ranking officials, including representatives of the border service, may be involved in the case.
