The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office (SAP) sent an indictment to the court against the prosecutor of the General Prosecutor's Office. The basis for this was the results of a pre-trial investigation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

In July 2024, the UGP prosecutor was exposed for receiving $170,000. undue advantage. As the investigation established, the accused, through an intermediary, received a bribe from the businessman for closing the criminal proceedings regarding the illegal alienation of property by officials for the benefit of a private company, as well as the removal of the arrest from the property.
The indictment under ch. 4 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code was sent to the Supreme Administrative Court for review on the merits.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
