On the night of Thursday, May 30, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, targeting military facilities and critical infrastructure. According to the press service of the Air Force of Ukraine, the invaders used cruise missiles and Shahed attack drones. In addition, the Russian army fired anti-aircraft missiles in the Kharkiv region.
Eight S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles were released in Kharkiv region, at least five of them hit the target. The event caused a fire at the gas infrastructure facility, which injured two people and caused an acute stress reaction in another person.
In Kharkiv, six women and one man were injured as a result of a rocket attack on the administrative building of a utility company. It was also reported about the destruction of the equestrian sports club in the village of Mala Danylivka, but there were no victims of this incident.
According to information, Russian forces also fired 11 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS aircraft and 32 Shahed attack drones from various areas.
Ukrainian air defenses destroyed seven Russian cruise missiles and all 32 kamikaze drones. Protective measures were deployed in Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions.
The enemy was opposed by anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the press service of the Air Force reported.
