More than 600 houses, dozens of social institutions and hospitals were left without heating in the Holosiiv district of Kyiv due to the damage to the heating main caused by a missile attack by the Russian army. The scale of the problem was confirmed by the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko.
- The following remained without heating:
- 630 residential buildings;
- 16 hospitals;
- 17 schools;
- 13 kindergartens.
City services immediately began to work on eliminating the consequences. "Kyivteploenergo" crews have already started repair work, but it is not yet known when the heat will be fully restored.
Injured and killed:
- According to Klitschko, there were no casualties, but seven people were injured, four of whom were hospitalized.
- However, the State Emergency Service (SES) reported one death as a result of the attack.
This attack once again showed the cynicism of the actions of the Russian army, which targets not only military, but also civilian objects, leaving thousands of people without heat in the winter.
Residents of the area are urged to remain calm and stay tuned for updates on the restoration of services.
