As a result of a missile strike by the Russian occupiers in Kharkiv on the evening of January 10, a hotel complex where more than 30 civilians were staying was damaged.
Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA, reported that several cars also caught fire as a result of the attack. “As of now, 11 victims are known, including 4 men aged 31 to 38, 7 women aged 23 to 71. Nine victims were taken to medical facilities. Currently, one of the victims, a 35-year-old man, is in serious condition, 8 patients are in moderate and mild condition, and 2 were provided with assistance on the spot,” he stressed.
The injured are receiving all necessary assistance and are under medical supervision. A crater at least three meters deep has formed near the hotel, and a fire has broken out at the bottom of the crater due to high-voltage lines passing through it. Rescuers are working to extinguish the fire. The facade of the building, balconies, canopies, windows, and window sills were completely destroyed by the blast wave.
According to preliminary data, the Russian Federation used two S-300 missiles, firing from the territory of the Belgorod region. This was reported by Oleksandr Filchakov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
