The Russian command intensifies the fighting in several directions at the same time, seeking to exhaust Ukrainian defense and punch it in the most vulnerable place. According to sources in the near future, the key goals of the occupiers can be the Oskil River, Izium and the city of Sumy.
Currently, the Russian Federation does not reduce the pressure on the estuary, which is considered as a strategic point for breakthrough into the Donetsk region. However, now, according to sources, the main task can be to reach the Oskyl River, which will allow the Russians to develop an attack on raisins. The purpose is to cut the logistics routes of supply of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces, which holds the defense line from Kupyansk to Siversk.
The Russian command is not limited to one direction. According to the sources, the enemy presses in parallel in the Sumy direction, in particular, with the intention to go to the regional center - Sumy, and then - to try to break into the Kharkiv region from the northeast.
Such deployment of the offensive is consistent with the Kremlin's idea of the attempt of the operational environment of Kharkiv - the second largest city of Ukraine. Exit to Kharkiv from Sumy region will allow you to create a threat from the flanks, in parallel by continuing pressure from Kupyansk and Vovchansk.
The Oskil River has already become an important border during the previous phases of the war.
