In Rivne, water will start to be supplied from tomorrow due to lack of funds to cover the cost of water supply. According to the report of local power companies, at some hours the water supply will be stopped or reduced pressure, and in buildings on the upper floors, water may be completely absent.
Local media found out that the water supply restriction situation is associated with freezing the tariff increase. It turns out that the current tariff rate does not cover the costs of a water supply company. The current tariff for water is 32 UAH per cubic meter, however, according to representatives of the enterprise, it should be more than 57 UAH to cover the actual costs.
Tariff policy has become one of the main reasons why water suppliers are forced to restrict water supply, since under the current conditions they cannot provide stable water supply to all consumers. Local authorities and enterprises continue to negotiate tariffs, but by this time the situation remains critical.
