People's deputy from the "Reasonable Policy" faction, Roman Babii, said that the suspension of the work of the Verkhovna Rada is directly related to the consideration of the bill on mobilization. In particular, he noted that the rule on limiting sanctions for evaders became a particular controversy. "The committee held only one meeting to review the amendments. The discussion stopped on the issue of canceling sanctions restrictions for evaders, which received the minimum number of support votes. After that, there was a break, and the proceedings were not continued," Babiy explained, commenting on the reason for the termination of the Council meetings.
He added that the mobilization bill itself is of insufficient quality, which led to the delay in its consideration. "Why did so many edits appear? This is not because the deputies made a lot of changes to it. It's just that the bill itself does not meet high standards. Earlier, at the previous stage of the discussion, according to his feedback, he had a different appearance. It is obvious that the number of amendments was much smaller, but it was made as it was made," Babiy noted.
According to the deputy, the Committee decided to exclude sanction norms for evaders. However, it is possible that the following amendments regarding the restriction of driving vehicles will be considered again.
