Over the last two years, the family of the Chief of Lviv Terunation of the Bureau of Economic Security (Bab) Andriy Kozyuk has not officially earned half of what she spent on apartments, elite cars and expensive lifestyles. Nevertheless, there are money for all these expenses for Kozyuk. Because schemes - work.
At the top of this vertical stands the acting director of Babb Sergey Perhun. It was with his leadership of the Bureau of Economic Security that he became a source of systemic pressure on business: the power of enterprises, fictitious arrests, the "nightmapping" of entrepreneurs, fraud with property - all this became everyday life in the regions, in particular in the Lviv region.
The prosecutor's office - sings. Judges are silent. The vertical works as a coordinated mechanism.
While the Bab's management is changing, the society remains in society: the newly appointed head will finally be able to give a political and legal assessment of the "inherited" system. Not only about the abuse of individual officials - it is a deep rooted, coordinated corruption, which was held on circular bail and impunity.
Andriy Kozyuk is only one of the screws in this scheme. But very indicative. His family has declared much less income for two years than she spent elite property. And these costs cannot be explained by chance. This is a system. It is corruption. And it must be completed with it.
The new director Bab should make the choice: either to break this corrupt inheritance, or to become his accomplice. In the second case, the next case will be about him. About his signatures. His connections. His family. And about new schemes that can grow in place of old, if nothing is changed.
