Russian troops control more than half of Toretsk: new data from the local administration

In the latest reports from the head of the local administration, it became known that Russian troops control more than half of the territory of Toretsk. This information caused concern among residents and organizations involved in humanitarian aid in the region.

"Approximately 40-50% of the city, we can say, is under the control of the Armed Forces. The rest of the territory is captured by the enemy," Vasyl Chinchyk said.

According to him, the Russians did not manage to advance during the past day. About 1,150 civilians remain in Toretsk, and their evacuation is ongoing, Chinchyk said.

Note that according to Ukrainian military maps, the Russians control much less than half of the city. According to the Russians, they have already captured part of the city center and the neighborhoods of Nahalivka and Zabalka.
