In a series of unfortunate events related to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces completely captured six border villages in the Kharkiv region. In particular, the villages of Strilechcha, Pylne, Krasne, Borysivka, Ogurtsevoe and Pletenivka were captured.
Also, they have already entered several other villages and are trying to gain a foothold, going, among other things, to the outskirts of Vovchansk.
This is written by the Ukrainian military publication Deep State, which publishes an updated map of hostilities in the north of the region.
The Telegram channel indicates two directions of the Russian offensive. The first is on Lipka. In this area, Russian troops are entrenched in the villages of Morokhovets, Oliinikove, Lukyantsi and Zelene.
"Battles continue for Hlyboke, which is the last settlement before the main task for the Russians in that area - to occupy Liptsi," the public writes.
The second direction is to Vovchansk. On this side, Pletenivka and Ogurtsovoe have been captured, attempts to gain a foothold in the villages of Gatishche, Staritsa, and Bugrovatka are ongoing.
Russian troops also approached the northern outskirts of Vovchansk, trying to gain a foothold there.
"The situation continues to get more complicated. The enemy is gradually bringing more and more forces into our territory, the infantry is constantly entering, advancing in groups into populated areas and trying to establish a foothold there, saturate and continue the movement. A small amount of equipment, artillery, aviation, as well as a large activity of UAVs and EW are present in support. The defense forces are trying to stop the enemy, causing defeat," the public writes.
Deep State indicates that if communication between the units of the Armed Forces is not established, then the Russian Federation "will have even greater success, which will lead to very negative consequences."
At the same time, the loss of villages was not officially confirmed.
According to the General Staff, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops carried out 12 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Strelecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliinikove, Lukyantsi, Gatishche, Pletenivka, Pylna, Vovchansk, Bugrovatka.
It should be noted that the GSU report does not indicate that these attacks were repulsed (as it was indicated for other directions of the front).
