Russian troops try to break through the defense of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv direction, increasing the intensity of attacks in the hope of achieving a result in 50 days - this is the same term of the Kremlin, probably received from US President Donald Trump to start peace talks. Mykola Volokhov, commander of the Terra unit as part of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces, told this on the air of Kyiv24.
" The assault is actually daily. Our record is more than 20 attacks on the site. We keep about 60 km of the front - this is one of the largest areas that holds one unit ," Volokhov said.
According to him, the enemy conducts continuous assaults in small groups, trying to "feel" defense and find a weak place to break. Volokhov connects the enemy's activation with the political factor - the Kremlin seeks to succeed in the conditional deadline, after which negotiations can begin.
" They want to accumulate strength, find a hole in the front and use it. It is now trying to realize their potential as much as possible - up to the 50 days that our allies are talking about ," said Terra commander.
Despite the frantic pressure, Ukrainian defenders keep the line. In particular, the 3rd Army Corps effectively restrains the offensive actions of the enemy in Kharkiv and block attempts to break.
