Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for countering disinformation at the NSDC, said that Russia intends to carry out raids by Shahed kamikaze drones on an almost 24-hour basis. According to him, regular attacks by enemy drones target both military and intelligence targets, in particular, the Russians are trying to save on missiles by using much cheaper attack UAVs.
Kovalenko emphasized that the daily raids of the "shaheed" also serve as a means of constant psychological pressure on the civilian population, which, according to the occupiers, aims to break the motivation of Ukrainians to resist.
"However, new methods of defeating the "shahed" are on the way. Everything will be fine," Kovalenko said, reassuring the public.
Recent Russian attacks
Recently, Russia has been actively carrying out attacks on the territory of Ukraine with the help of Shahed drones. In particular, on Saturday, the occupying forces struck Kyiv again, as a result of which falling debris was recorded in several areas and fires broke out.
In addition, it was recently reported that Russia began using Shahed drones with thermobaric warheads. Valery Romanenko, an aviation expert and leading researcher of the State Aviation Museum, noted that the occupiers are constantly changing the routes of their attacks, trying to strike large Ukrainian cities from different directions.
