Russian troops began to use a new type of shock unmanned aircraft (UAV) in Ukraine attacks, which combines artificial intelligence technologies, video analytics and navigation unnecessarily. This was reported by a specialist in military communication Sergey "Flash" Beskrestnov.
According to him, the first new drone was recorded in Sumy in February 2025. Since then, it has been increasingly appearing in the east of the country. The main feature of this UAV is autonomy, computational power and a high degree of protection against radio electronic struggle.

This drone is collected completely from imported components and has a system on board, which allows it to act regardless of GPS and GLONASS. Thanks to the built -in artificial intelligence, the drone can not only navigate the space without external signals, but also recognize the work of Ukrainian air defense products and evade the interception.
In addition, new UAVs have already been recorded in combat conditions as part of "flocks" - up to six units at the same time, which indicates the possible integration of swarm algorithms.
Beskrestnov noted that the large -scale use of these drones by Russia is not happening yet, but they are becoming more noticeable. In his opinion, Ukraine should urgently pay attention to these technologies and adapt its own developments to new conditions.
Against this background on May 3, Ukrainian sea drones Magura V7 have achieved loud success: during an attack on military facilities in Crimea, they destroyed two Russian Su-30cm fighters that tried to intercept drones. The lesion was made using AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
