Russia has changed the tactics of attacks to exhaust Ukrainian air defense

Russia has changed the approach to air attacks to Ukraine, using massive blows for one purpose to guarantee it to destroy it and at the same time deplete the air defense system. This was stated by MP Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, on the air of Espresso.

According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has already used more than 7 thousand rockets and more than 50 thousand drones-Kamikadze "Shahanedov" against Ukrainian cities and facilities. It was not even during the Second World War, and no air defense system is designed for such intensive use of weapons.

Kostenko stressed that the modern air defense system, which was created during the Cold War, is too expensive to combat cheap drones.

"Patriot, C-300 or" beech "is millions of dollars for one start. And Shahaned costs tens of thousands. The economy will not withstand it," the deputy said.

In his opinion, Ukraine should focus on the development and scale of cheaper counteraction, including drones. They are much more efficient in price/result ratio, and can be more rational to beat hostile drones.

Kostenko also added that the Russians have already learned to run up to 500 drones a day, although such attacks do not occur daily because Russia does not have enough resources. Most often intense shelling occurs every 3-4 days. Often, falseroots are added to the blows to knock down the Ukrainian air defense from the Pantelik.

Another priority, according to the deputy, is the creation of a solid radar field and an automated threat response system.

"We need to focus on establishing mass production of drone.
