Bihus.info reporters have published an investigation, which states that sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) are increasingly becoming a tool for political struggle, not a means of protecting national security.
"Actually, this process has begun to be associated with the clown. A serious and generally needed tool seems to be methodically turned into a whip in the hands of individual Bankova residents. On their hands, thanks to this whip, a whole cohort of politicians and businessmen already found themselves," the authors say.
According to journalists, in many cases, sanctions are not applied because of the threats of national security, but to neutralize political or business competitors. This approach is increasingly distrustful of the public and calls into question the true purpose of restrictive measures.
The plot emphasizes that sanctions policy is increasingly perceived by Ukrainians as a means of internal pressure, not as a tool for protecting the state.
