The negotiations between the United States and Russia, which occur through Saudi Arabia, Ukraine was not allowed to participate. The Saudi Prince Muhammad wished Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to be present at these important negotiations, but both Americans and Russians insisted on holding a meeting without Ukrainian representatives.
According to Bloomberg, the Saudi side plans to inform the President of Ukraine about the role of the kingdom in the organization of negotiations, as well as to talk about their discussions with Russian and American officials. This decision obviously reflects the current international diplomatic dynamics, where Ukraine is found in the West in difficult geopolitical negotiations.
At the same time, Ukraine is actively looking for ways to influence US President Donald Trump, in particular trying to avoid a scenario where Ukraine will be put before choosing "take or go". If this ultimatum is rejected by the Ukrainian side, it can seriously affect relations with the largest military ally of Ukraine.
President Zelensky, in turn, expects Trump's messenger, Cat Kellogg, will visit Kiev and intend to show him the situation at the front so that the messenger can bring a real picture of the war to the White House.
