The SBU is investigating the case of dismantling the runway in Poltava region

Well-known Poltava businessman Alexander Pavlyuchenko, also known as Sasha Bracelet, was in the center of the scandal due to the illegal dismantling of the runway near the village of Bozhkovo, which is in the Novoselivsky Territorial Community of Poltava Region.

According to the ABSolution Detective Bureau, the case is investigating the SBU in the framework of criminal proceedings No. 42024172690000045. Law enforcement officers qualified Pavlyuchenko's actions under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-“Obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces”.

By 2024, the playground "Bozhkovo", covered with concrete slabs and asphalt, operated in this territory. However, Pavlyuchenko, who rents land through the company of Alfa-Capital PE, dismantled the cover and export the plate to his own base.

According to experts, the losses are over UAH 70 million-just as much the construction of a new runway.

Despite the open criminal case, journalists note that the investigation has actually stopped. The process is monitored by the SBU Lieutenant Colonel Ilya Vlasyuk, but no active action is currently observed.

The head of the Novoselivsky community Yevgeny Bova, who has close connections with Pavlyuchenko's business, is also involved in dismantling the runway.

In particular, investigators indicate Irina Stepanenko, a deputy of the Poltava Regional Council, which is the chief accountant of Alfa Capital. It is, according to the media, who oversees Pavlyuchenko's business interest in the region.

Pavlyuchenko is one of the largest agricultural producers of Poltava region and business partner of former Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.

He used to get into scandals, in particular:

  • He was accused of illegally extraction of gas condensate from the main pipeline.
  • He appeared in the case of an attack on a man in Poltava.

The SBU investigation should determine whether Pavlyuchenko and involved persons will be held accountable. However, given the inhibition of the case, there are fears that the investigation can come to naught.

At the same time, the public expects law enforcement response, because it is not only about corruption, but also about undermining the country's defense capability.
