The SBU and the National Police exposed five people who illegally sold "trophy" weapons

In Zhytomyr Oblast, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, detained five people who were involved in the illegal trade in weapons exported from the war zone in the east of the country. As it became known, two of them were local residents who organized a scheme to sell "trophy" weapons obtained in Donetsk region.

One of them had already received a suspended sentence for selling weapons, but continued to sell them, in particular, to former prisoners.

In Cherkasy region, a 30-year-old deserter "took" weapons from a military unit with him to sell them.

In Kropyvnytskyi, two deserters wanted to sell 5 grenade launchers, 11 grenades and other weapons to criminals.

All face up to 7 years in prison.
