SBU detained the Russian agent who was recruited through social networks

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained another agent of Russian military intelligence in Donetsk region. The 40-year-old IT specialist agreed to spy in favor of the aggressor country for the promised close relations with the Russian military, whom he met in one of the forbidden social networks.

According to the SBU report from May 22, the traitor transferred data on the fortifications and spare command points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These objects were of interest to the enemy within the plan of new strikes in the city of Konstantinovka with the use of managed airbots.

However, at the initial stage of the intelligence activity of the SBU managed to identify the traitor. Law enforcement officers detained the agent on time, preventing the transmission of strategically important information to the enemy. In addition, additional measures were carried out to strengthen the safety of the location of Ukrainian units in the threatened areas.

The detainee is threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property for treason in martial law.

We will remind, only a day earlier, on May 21, the SBU exposed another enemy agent-a 47-year-old resident of Odesa region, who got a job as a defense plant for the purpose of espionage and theft of secret development for the Armed Forces.
