Russian opposition blogger Veronika Belotserkovskaya has reported the theft of hundreds of thousands of euros worth of jewelry while in Odessa. According to her, the incident occurred at the Frederic Coquelin boutique hotel, where she was staying before traveling to Dnipro for a charity auction. Belotserkovskaya planned to donate the proceeds from the sale of the jewelry to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As the blogger said, she was carrying jewelry and luxury items worth about 200,000-300,000 euros. Upon returning to her room, she discovered that several valuables were missing, including a Chanel crocodile-skin bag, an expensive Star of David necklace, a beauty box, and other personal items.
Belotserkovskaya claims that she suspects hotel employees of stealing. According to her, only cleaning staff had access to the room. She suggested that the administration conduct a lie detector test on the staff, but, according to the blogger, she was refused.
The incident, according to Belotserkovskaya, occurred on December 14. Since then, despite appeals and public publicity, none of the stolen items have been found. The blogger notes that this situation is especially painful for her, because the jewelry was supposed to be a contribution to help the Ukrainian army.
There has been no official comment from the hotel regarding the allegations. The situation has sparked an active discussion on social media, with users calling for a transparent investigation and clarification of all the circumstances of the incident.
