The son of the head of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko, Christian Shevchenko, received a call-up to the country's youth national team. This information was announced on the UAF website today, March 6. He will represent Ukraine in the qualifying matches for Euro-2024 among players under 19 years old. The Ukrainian team entered the group of seven, where it will play against the national teams of Switzerland, North Macedonia and Latvia. The mini-tournament will be held in North Macedonia, and all matches will be held in the city of Skopje from March 20 to 26.
The first match of the Ukrainian national team as part of the qualification for Euro-2024 will take place on March 20 against North Macedonia. Christian Shevchenko, known for his performances for the English Watford, will play as part of the Ukrainian youth national team in the position of an attacker.
