Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft, a German manufacturer of armored vehicles, has started construction of an armored vehicle repair center in Ukraine. This was announced by Markus Faber, a member of the Bundestag, in his post on social networks.
"In the west of Ukraine, FFG - Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft - is building a repair center for armored vehicles in need of repair, such as Leopard 1, which it supplied," said the politician from the Free Democratic Party.
Faber noted that for Ukraine, this will lead to a significant increase in efficiency, since now there will be no need to spend a lot of money on transporting damaged equipment abroad, and the military will have the opportunity to train its mechanics directly on the spot.
Deputy Faber has already visited the site of the future center and thanked FFG Ukraine for its understanding and important work. He also expressed support for increasing military aid to Ukraine and called for the transfer of Taurus missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reduce the enemy's aggressive capabilities.
