The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, expressed his belief that the country will be able to fully and timely finance all social expenses in 2024 and 2025. He made this statement while participating in the "Edyny Novyni" television marathon. According to the Prime Minister, the new aid from the United States of America had a strong impact on this forecast.
"We are absolutely sure that this year (and, to be honest, next year) we will be able to provide financing for all social payments, all pensions, subsidies. Everything that the state has to do, we will do it on time, in full," Shmyhal said.
"And, in fact, American aid gives us confidence in the fulfillment of these obligations by 100 percent," the prime minister added.
On April 24, our country received from the European Union the second tranche under the record aid program Ukraine Facility in the amount of 1.5 billion euros. The funds have already been deposited into the accounts. The money can be spent not on financing military expenses, but on closing budgetary needs.
Not all of the new aid to Kyiv from Washington will go specifically to weapons for the Defense Forces. The fact is that the stability of the state during the war is ensured also through financial stability.
