The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has announced a storm warning on Thursday, March 13. Forecasters warn of heavy wind, heavy rains and thunderstorms in several regions of the country.
Strong wind and dangerous weather
According to the forecast, in Ukraine, outside the eastern and reserves of the western regions, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected. In the Carpathians and Transcarpathia in the afternoon, heavy rains with thunderstorms will take place.
In this regard, the level of danger (yellow) is declared in the presence of areas. However, several regions remain outside the storm preference zone:
- Ivano-Frankivsk
- Ternopil
- Chernivtsi
- Khmelnitskaya
- Kharkiv
- Lugansk
- Donetsk
Causes of bad weather and temperature
According to the Ukrhydromet Center, the cause of deterioration of the weather was the cyclone located above Poland. It will bring humid warm air and significant wind gusts to Ukraine.
A sharp drop in atmospheric pressure is expected. In the western regions, moderate precipitation is forecast, and in Transcarpathia and the Carpathians - heavy rains with thunderstorms. In central, northern and Kharkiv opportunities small rains.
Despite bad weather, the temperature will remain high:

- In the daytime +14 °… +19 °
- In the south up to +22 °
- In the Carpathians +5 °… +10 °
