According to the new draft law on mobilization , Ukrainians can be severely punished for refusing to appear on a summons at the TCC, lawyer Roman Simutin reports.
The mentioned draft of the law on mobilization proposes the introduction of restrictions on the right to drive, travel abroad and the seizure of accounts for those who do not appear on a summons. Specifically, for failure to fulfill this duty, drivers face a fine of 40,800 hryvnias, deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 5 to 7 years, as well as confiscation of the car.
Lawyer Simutin explained that this approach is not new, as it is already used in relation to alimony debtors by the decision of state or private executors. The police can stop the debtor's vehicle, deprive him of his rights and take the case to court.
The sanction for such violations involves deprivation of the right to drive for 3-6 months, which, according to the lawyer, the courts almost always apply. A fine of 40,800 hryvnias is also provided for, and in case of repeated violation within a year - double the amount.
The new draft law on mobilization arouses the indignation of citizens, because, according to its terms, the authorities will have the opportunity to "tighten the nuts" and impose strict sanctions even on conscripts.
