The Ukrainian producer and rapper Potap (Alexei Potapenko), who lives abroad in recent years, gave a frank interview to the Latvian project "All of all,". During the conversation, he mentioned his popularity in the past, criticism of friends and personal changes.
The artist said that at the height of his career he received important advice from Alla Pugacheva and Lyme Vaikul, who was remembered for his lifetime. According to him, both stars advised him to "understand themselves", because the higher the glory, the closer the people should remain.
“Lesho, listen, it's a path to yourself, get into yourself. The steeper you are, the closer to people you should be, ”he quoted Pugachova and Vaikula.
The producer also acknowledged that the period of star disease survived. According to him, those who were near and supported it later became severely criticized. Potap confessed that he did not accept these remarks at the time, believing that everyone around was mistaken, and he was successful and indispensable.
“I had a period when the roof was ripped. Earlier, real friends helped you, and now they say, "You would be a supplement, you have become impossible." And at first I said, "No, they are grievous, and I'm a manimier, a superfluous." And then you come to them and say, "Sorry, then I did not understand, and now I understood," he said.
Recall that in recent years, Potap regularly falls into a flurry of criticism. In particular, after he stated in 2022 that he allegedly "joined the TRO" while in Spain. An additional resonance was caused by his song, which abusively mentioned Ukrainian volunteer women. These scandals significantly undermined his reputation among Ukrainians.
