How much will Ukrainians pay for electricity in 2024

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko said that until the end of the heating season, Ukrainians will continue to pay for electricity according to the current tariffs, which are 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. He emphasized that during the 2023/24 heating season, there are no plans to increase tariffs for the population. The solution applies to all consumers and does not depend on the volume of electricity consumption. While there has already been an increase in the cost of housing and communal services in the country, an increase in electricity tariffs is not expected at least until the end of the heating season.

According to the information of the State Statistics Service, over the past year, tariffs for housing and communal services have increased by an average of 13%, and electricity prices have increased by 69.7%. Despite this, the minister noted that electricity tariffs remain stable until the end of the heating season.
