In Bila Tserkva, the police detained the director of a construction company, who, according to the investigation, sold the same apartment to two different buyers and received almost 1.9 million UAH. The suspect was reported on suspicion under Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - fraud on an especially large scale.
According to the investigation, the director concluded an agreement with the woman to purchase an apartment, despite the fact that this housing had already been sold to another investor. According to law enforcement officers, he personally signed the payment receipts.
The man was detained and charged with taking someone else's property by fraud, committed on a particularly large scale (Part 5, Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Investigators are checking possible other episodes using a similar scheme and identifying additional victims.
The Telegram channel "Vykryvach" suggests a connection to the history of individuals from the entourage of local deputies Yevhen and Maryna Tkalenko.
Deputies Yevhen and Maryna Tkalenka previously appeared in publications about the land conflict around the plot on Spartakivska Street in Bila Tserkva. Currently, the land is owned by the ZhBK Hetman cooperative, and the development is being carried out by Zhytlobud BC. The investigation has not confirmed the connection of these projects with the current criminal case.
The case is being investigated by investigators of the Kyiv region police; the sanction of the incriminating article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
