The famous Ukrainian singer and producer of the National Selection for Eurovision 2025, Tina Karol, expressed her opinion about the scandal that broke out around the contestant FIЇNKA, who was suspected of plagiarism. The singer addressed her subscribers on the Telegram channel and called on all the contestants to fight honestly for a place in the final.
We will remind that FIЇNKA was suspected of plagiarizing the Spanish song “Con Altura” by Rosalía, due to the similarity of her competition track with the composition of the Spanish singer. However, the participant herself has not yet commented on the incident and the similarity of the songs. However, Tina Karol did not remain aloof and declared that she does not see any similarity between the songs of Ukrainian and Spanish artists.
"There is no similarity between the songs, neither in tempo, nor in harmony, nor in rhythm, nor in content! In FIЇNKA, the word hook sounds like "culture", and in Rosalía - con altura (which means "to behave with dignity"). This objection to the similarity of the songs in the comments (there are few of them, thanks to the conscious ones) is not competent," Karol stressed.
The singer also drew attention to the negative manifestations among the participants of the National Selection, in particular, when competitors try to "drown" each other by publishing offensive comments or making malicious statements. She called on the participants of the National Selection to fight with honor and dignity, stressing that only in this way fate will smile on those who really deserve success.
"To all those who are on the longlist or did not make it: fight with honor, and fate will smile at you. I know who, but I'm still watching," Tina Karol added.
According to the singer, it is important to maintain honesty and respect for other participants, because any plagiarism or "underwater" manipulations should not become part of the competition.
