The representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmytro Lazutkin, warned about the end of the period of rest for part of the Ukrainian population after the entry into force of the new law on mobilization. His statement testifies to the growing tension and seriousness in the current political and security situation of Ukraine.
"If we speak globally, then from May 18, when the law on mobilization comes into force, first of all, the approach to this war will change. Because that history, when part of the people fights and is constantly at the front, and part lives their peaceful lives, it is obvious that this is coming to an end," he said on the Espresso broadcast.
He added that "the entire country needs to be mobilized" because the enemy is strong.
"The striking difference that caught your eye every time you returned from Donbas to Kyiv or Lviv or other peaceful cities is not normal. Perhaps it would be normal if we had a weak enemy, but in this case the whole country needs to be mobilized," Lazutkin believes.
