Electricity consumption in Ukraine corresponds to seasonal indicators, but the power deficit persists

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine currently corresponds to seasonal indicators. However, in the hours of maximum consumption, there is a shortage of power, which causes certain difficulties in the power system.

According to Ukrenergo, consumption corresponds to seasonal indicators. Today, October 14, its level, as of 9:30, was the same as at this time of the previous working day - Friday, October 11.

Yesterday, October 13, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 4.2% higher than last Sunday, October 6. As Ukrenergo said, the reason for such dynamics is a decrease in air temperature in most regions of Ukraine.

The company also added that due to attacks by the Russian Federation, there is a power deficit in the power system during the hours of maximum consumption. Therefore, they urged to use powerful electrical appliances better during the period of the most efficient operation of solar power plants - from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Due to hostilities and other reasons, 553 settlements were completely or partially cut off this morning. In particular, due to hostilities, there are new blackouts in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.

As a result of the bad weather, 30 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv and Volyn regions were cut off in the morning.

Due to technical reasons, there are consumers without power in the Kirovohrad and Zaporizhzhia regions.
