The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision to update the procedure for assigning one-time cash assistance to the families of dead and wounded servicemen. These changes aim to simplify access to benefits and reduce bureaucratic barriers for victims.
Now the application can be submitted through administrative service centers or online. This was reported by the representative of the government in the parliament, Taras Melnychuk.
The government updated the procedure for assigning and paying one-time cash benefits in case of death or disability of military personnel and veterans.
Changes were made to simplify the process, in particular, now the application for receiving assistance can be submitted to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs through the administrative service center or, if there is technical capability and an electronic cabinet, through the Diya portal or the Unified Register of Veterans.
The decision on payment will be made by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, and the funds will be transferred directly to the recipient's bank account.
The Cabinet of Ministers has improved the mechanism for providing second- and third-level psychological assistance services to war veterans, their family members and some other categories of persons.
