Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA (2015-2019) Valery Chalyy stated that the United States has a plan to end the war in Ukraine, which involves "territorial compromises". This statement caused considerable interest in possible ways to resolve the conflict.
"When the Americans came to Kyiv, they suggested to Zelensky to be more flexible in Washington. In fact, he was expected to discuss possible territorial compromises," said Chaly.
Chaly believes that the USA has a plan for war in Ukraine. Its main points:
- prevent a direct collision with Russia;
- prevent the involvement of NATO;
- "to prevent a Russian victory over Ukraine, so that Ukraine is preserved, even if not in the territory, but as a sovereign, independent country."
"Yes, this plan is not about the victory of Ukraine," Chalyy commented.
He also believes that the authorities of Ukraine can resist this only by "escalation" and the involvement of other countries in the war.
"It is necessary to make sure that other countries are also in this war. I am sure that peace will come after escalation, not the other way around. That is, if we show escalation from our side, and that the Poles, Lithuanians, and French are on our side, if we are not afraid to have pilots from these countries - Frenchmen on Mirages, American veterans on F-16s, if we create such a tripartite brigade and use it on border, Putin will start shouting. We will show that there is no way back, then they in Russia will start looking for where to direct all this," said the ambassador.
We will remind you that recently the Western press has increasingly written that Zelensky is ready to end the war on the front line under certain conditions. OP denies this all the time and talks only about the possibility of going to the borders.
