The US is planning large-scale military aid to Ukraine and new sanctions against Russia before the end of Biden's term

The administration of US President Joe Biden announced plans to provide Ukraine with a large package of military aid and introduce new sanctions against Russia before the end of the current presidential term. This step is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and increasing pressure on the Kremlin.

This was announced by Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, after a conversation with Yermak, The Guardian reports.

The US also promises to help Ukraine train new soldiers and provide almost $20 billion in loans, which will be secured by profits from frozen Russian assets.

It will be recalled that Yermak also met with Trump's team. According to the WSJ, she did not show any particular interest in the idea of Ukraine joining NATO, which Kyiv insists on.
