Serhiy Sternenko, who was recently in the spotlight due to his failure to appear at the summons to the TCC and evading mobilization, withdrew more than $1 million from his crypto wallets during the years of the full-scale war, the media claim.
All these funds, according to him, were collected to help the Ukrainian army, but now they have become the basis for numerous questions about the transparency of such fees.
According to the TG-channel Politika Strany , more than a million USDT (Tether) was withdrawn from one of Sternenko's crypto wallets, a cryptocurrency whose exchange rate is close to the US dollar. In addition, more than 350 thousand USDT were transferred to his account on the Binance crypto exchange. These sums significantly exceed the usual donations to help the army, raising questions about the real use of these funds.
The other side of the matter is no less interesting. According to the registers, in 2023, Sternenko and his roommate Natalia Usatenko bought two Volkswagen Tiguan cars. One of them, in the name of Sternenko himself, was bought for 950 thousand hryvnias, while the other - in the name of Usatenko - for 70 thousand hryvnias, which is much lower than the market value. Both cars, according to sources, are used by the family personally.
Another important moment is the purchase of a plot of land by Sternenko's father, Vyacheslav, who in July 2024 purchased almost 4.5 hectares of land in the Bilhorod-Dniester district of the Odesa region. These purchases against the background of the war raise even more questions for Sternenko and his relatives.
In addition, Sternenko is involved in several criminal cases, including charges of kidnapping and murder. According to law enforcement agencies, he was also registered with the Odesa Police Department due to his involvement in drug sales in 2017. These facts only add even more negative color to his public image.
