The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office brought to court an indictment against a surgeon, who worked as a freelance at the Military Medical Commission (VLK) in Bila Tserkva. The physician is accused of abuse of influence-under part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the surgeon promised the military to enter false information on the state of health and influence the head of the VLK in the medical records to make the commission a decision to establish a category "restricted for military service". For this "service", the doctor demanded 40 thousand hryvnias of undue benefits that were to be transferred through the mediator.
Law enforcement officers documented the fact of solicitation and preparation for bribery. The indictment has already been directed to the Belotserkovsky City Court.
In case of guilt, the doctor threatens punishment in the form of up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
