The Volovets District Court of Transcarpathian region found three accused of rape a minor girl, which happened in 2021. The court adopted a sentence - 6 years in prison for each of the persons involved.
“The accused of sexual violence against a girl in Transcarpathia received a real term of imprisonment. Each of them the court imposed a sentence of 6 years in prison. The court did not establish grounds for the release of the accused from punishment with the trial, ”the message reads.
In addition, the court partially satisfied the civil claim of the victim. Of the declared 450 thousand hryvnias of non -pecuniary damage, the court charged 300 thousand hryvnias from the accused, since they have already reimbursed some of the money.
It is also noted that the defendants were taken into custody in the courtroom.
Rape a minor in Transcarpathia
In August 2021, a 14-year-old girl raped in the village of Verkhnaya Gate (Transcarpathian region). They shot their bullying on a video, which was then spread among classmates.
In March 2023, the Volovets District Court sentenced the accused to five years in prison, but since they have not reached the age of majority, they were released from serving their sentence, appointing a probation for 2 years.
Due to the softness of the punishment, prosecutors and lawyers of the girl challenged this decision. Subsequently, the Court of Appeal overturned the sentence and appointed a new trial, which, according to the victim's representatives, tried to delay the defense of the accused.
In October 2024, it became known that two guys tried to mobilize to avoid punishment. But they were refused.
