The first day of July in Ukraine is rich in holidays, memorable dates and symbolic events - both in the church and in the state calendar.
Church Holiday: Cosma and Damun - healers without payment
On July 1, in the new church style, the believers commemorate the saints of Kosma and the Daman-the brothers who healed patients and even animals in the III century, guided only by faith in God. Their self -sacrifice and selflessness have become an example of mercy for many generations.
This day was popularly called Kuzminka healers, because the saints attributed patronage over doctors, veterinarians and all who help people and animals to recover. Traditionally, this day avoided hard work on earth, did not touch pets and did not suit loud fun. Instead, the day was considered favorable for prayer, treatment and silence.
Three state professional holidays in one day
On July 1, there are three important professional dates in Ukraine:

State registrar day - introduced in 2022, dedicated to the day of entry into force of the Law "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individuals - Entrepreneurs" in 2004. It was from this moment that a new era began in the registration processes of the state.

Investigation Day - established in 2019 on the initiative of the DBR and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to mark the important role of investigators in support of law and order. The historical basis was the creation in 1963 of the only investigative service under the Prosecutor's Office of the USSR.

Architecture Day of Ukraine - has been celebrated every year since 1995. It is a honor of the creative and strategic profession of an architect who forms the face of our cities and villages.
International Importance: World Fighting Against Poverty Day
On July 1, World Poverty Day is also celebrated - a reminder of the need to overcome social injustice, inequality and extreme need. This is a reason for governments, organizations and society to unite efforts to create worthy conditions for everyone.
Folk signs and date before the New Year
By the end of the year - exactly 183 days. And folk signs of this day promise a good harvest if the morning was clear or rich in August if it was raining on July 1. A special sign is a thunderstorm on this day - it heralds generous nuts in the fall.
