In Budapest, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga, will meet with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Sijarto. During the bilateral negotiations, it is planned to discuss a number of important issues related to the development of good neighborly relations.
The meeting will focus on implementation of joint projects in the spheres of economy, border infrastructure and protection of the rights of national minorities. Sybiga and Siyarto also plan to discuss Ukraine's European integration course, the issue of its accession to NATO, as well as a peace formula that could become a way to end Russian aggression.
Sybiga's visit to Budapest is part of his regional tour, the purpose of which is to strengthen good-neighborly relations and advance Ukraine on the path to membership in the European Union and NATO. After the negotiations, the heads of foreign affairs will make statements to the press to summarize the results of the meeting.
It is worth noting that before the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, announced the meeting, emphasizing the existence of an unfinished dispute with the Ukrainian side, which concerns the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine.
