A classic weather counterphase is currently observed in Ukraine, as reported by Cherkasy forecaster Vitaly Pstrygan on his Facebook page. According to him, the western part of the country is already experiencing meteorological autumn with clouds, cold and periodic rains typical for this time. On the other hand, the meteorological summer continues in the rest of the territory - sunny, dry and warm.
The forecaster explains this difference in weather conditions by the dominance of cyclonic activity in the west, where cold air masses rush in from the Arctic. At the same time, a blocking anticyclone is held in the east, where warm southerly air currents prevail.
In the coming weekend, the atmospheric fronts of the southwestern cyclone Finny will bring rain and thunderstorms, in particular, to Cherkasy region. At the beginning of the new working week, forecasters predict unstable weather with short-term rains, but with abnormally high temperatures.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, warming is expected in the west of Ukraine, while almost summer heat will remain in the rest of the territory. Forecaster Nataliya Ptukha noted that during the first ten days of October, the air temperature in Ukraine will rise somewhat, and frosts are no longer expected in the west.
