The positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kurakhovo region came under considerable pressure from the Russian occupation forces, which are trying to advance from the northern, southern and eastern directions. This is reported by the military public of Deep State.
1. North
According to public information, to the north of the city, Russian troops continue to try to gain a foothold in the village of Sontsivka and completely occupy it.
"They are pressing Novoselydivka as well, but the greatest attention of the northern facade of Kurakhovo is focused on the Berestka-Ilyinka section... Despite statements and refutations based on false reports going up the mountain, Ilyinka is occupied, and individual infantry units are visually visible even in Berestki district", the message reads.
According to DS, the task of the Russian army in this area is to reach Stary Terni to block the main road that goes to Kurakhovo from the west.
2. East
The public reports that the eastern outskirts of Kurakhovo are constantly under pressure from the Russians, who carry out mechanized assaults.
It is reported that they are "trying to fly to the outskirts of the city, to land infantry who are trying to gain a foothold in the private sector."
"One of the last assaults ended in success and entrenchment in school #3, but it is now known that the building has been cleared of the enemy," DS adds.
He also draws attention to the situation in the area between Dalny and Uspenivka, where Ukrainian troops are under threat of encirclement.
"The "pocket" formed along the line Antonivka-Katerynivka-Yelizavetivka-Ilyinka-Romanivka-Annivka is under threat of future control by the enemy, because the Russians are very persistently climbing through Dalnye to Uspenivka, having success. The latter village plays an important role in logistics and overall control of the situation for the SOU troop grouping in the "pocket". And once again we have a problem with reports to the top that do not correspond to reality, which, most likely, is the reason for the lack of attention to the problem of flanks in this place. The situation is getting worse and one day everyone may wake up and see that the enemy has reached Uspenivka, but it may be too late," the message reads.
3. South
According to DS information, the situation south of Kurakhovo is unchanged: the Russian army is trying to advance along the Yasna Polyana-Maksimivka section towards the H15 Zaporizhzhia-Donetsk highway, "which in the future may be a consequence of blocking the logistics of SOU units, taking it at least under fire control."
