The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have advanced into the construction zone of Avdiyivka, street fighting continues in the city, and the situation has become critical. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of "Censor" Yuriy Butusov.
According to his data, Russian units were entrenched on one of the streets on the northern outskirts of Avdiyivka (previously, the breakthrough of the Russian Federation into Avdiyivka from the northern side was confirmed by Ukrainian and Western sources).
"If you measure in a straight line, the advanced units of the enemy are one and a half kilometers from the entrance to the city. Two weeks ago, the enemy managed to enter two streets on the southern outskirts of the city. The situation is critical," Butusov said.
The problems of the Armed Forces, according to him, consist in the depletion of personnel, ammunition, and the weak interaction of Ukrainian units .
In addition, the Russians launched a hunt for Ukrainian drone operators. According to Butusov, "any structures and places where antennas are installed are subject to artillery strikes and bombardment with guided aerial bombs."
"Lies in reports at the general level, the desire to reassure oneself and not to annoy senior management with "bad news" are very harmful. And the top management wants to listen only to positive, not critical information. Therefore, there is no adequate response to changes in the situation," Butusov reports.
Also, the Ukrainian military publication Deep State reports that the Russian troops are making a new advance in Avdiivka from the north. It is noted there that the Russian Armed Forces have occupied the entire territory north of the Avdiiv quarry, and this creates a threat of cutting the main road that supplies the garrison in the city.
As you can see, the Avdiiv fortified area is crumbling, losses are increasing not only among the mobilized, but also among the elite units. After the destruction of this area, the rest of the front runs the risk of falling, as a large number of Russian units will be released, which will enter the operational space.
