The tariff for electricity in Ukraine may be increased already in June, increasing from 2.64 to 3.5 hryvnias per kWh. The final decision on the pricing policy has not yet been made, but various options are being considered, including the possible return of the differentiated tariff.
The Ministry of Energy urges Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in order to avoid emergency shutdowns. In particular, the following measures are recommended:
- limiting the use of powerful electrical appliances during peak hours;
- use of energy-saving lamps;
- maximum limitation of electricity consumption in the specified period.
In addition, it is worth paying attention to the purchase of energy-efficient equipment and the replacement of lamps with energy-saving ones. Experts emphasize the importance of economical use of electricity, as it will contribute to the maintenance of the energy system and the reduction of payments for services.
In addition, a long-term solution to the problem requires significant investment in energy system restructuring and energy generation. The first changes in tariffs may take place as early as June 1, so it is important to learn how to use electricity rationally in order to reduce payment costs.
