The Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Tymochko, emphasized the need for employees of the Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCC and SP) to comply with the current legislation. He emphasized that any actions of military commissars that do not have a legal basis are a direct violation.
According to Tymochka, employees of Territorial Procurement Centers are most often persons with military experience on the front line or with limited suitability for service in the regular army. Therefore, they must act in accordance with the procedures established by law, in particular, in the delivery of summonses.
Thus, Tymochko noted, any cancellation of measures on the delivery of subpoenas is possible only by making appropriate changes to the legislation. Currently, there are no clear definitions and standards that apply to the military and to this field in general. Ukraine has been trying to implement certain standards for a long time, which will help avoid claims from society.
Will raids from the TCC disappear: Zelenskyi on new laws
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed his wish that the employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers refrain from "catching" people on the streets and handing them summonses.
He emphasized the importance of comfort for the population, but noted that the procedures remain unchanged, so TCC employees are obliged to strictly follow the current legislation.
Therefore, disputes can be avoided only if new laws on mobilization are adopted.
As early as February 7, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine can consider the bill on mobilization.
People's deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reminded that the first reading does not mean the adoption of the draft law. If the bill is voted on in the first reading, amendments and voting will follow in the second reading. The final stage of the adoption of the law is the signing of the law by the president.
In addition, the parliament shortened the deadlines for submitting alternatives to the draft law on strengthening mobilization No. 10449.
