The anonymous "Joker" anonymous channel, which has often published compromising information about politicians, civil servants and security forces, has been recently removed from the platform in the Ukrainian segment Telegram. The reason was the publication of personal data, which is a violation of Telegram privacy policy.
According to information from its own sources, the Joker channel systematically taught documents with private addresses, phones, passport numbers and photos of persons without their consent. Similar actions have been taken into account by platform moderators after mass complaints of users and human rights defenders.
We will remind, the channel "Joker" has repeatedly found itself in the center of scandals through the publication of internal correspondence, fused correspondence and "drains" from power structures, which were accompanied by manipulative comments. It had a significant impact on the formation of public opinion in the information space of Ukraine, often acting as a source of insidies and provocative custom.
At the time of removal, the channel had tens of thousands of subscribers and was actively used as a tool for anonymous pressure and discrediting public persons. It is still unknown whether its administrators will create a new channel under the same name or with a new brand.
