The mother of the Head of the Department of Winter Olympic Sports of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Sergey Sednev - Oksana Seprik - won tenders for the supply of sports equipment for winter sports in the amount of more than 16.6 million UAH. All agreements were concluded with the State Institution "Ukrsport Support", which is subordinated to the same ministry where its son -in -law works.
According to Tribuna.com and NGL.Media investigation, Speryk supplied skis, snowboards, clothing and other equipment. The total amount of government orders it received from different budgetary institutions exceeds UAH 19 million.
Despite the obvious conflict of interest, Sergei Sednev told reporters that he was not familiar with his own mother -in -law. He also argues that he has nothing to do with procurement and has not contributed to the promotion of the interests mentioned in the investigation of persons.
At the same time, Sednev, according to his duties, is engaged in preparation of proposals for financing team teams, participates in the distribution of resources and controls their use.
According to the sources of the publication, at least one of the budgetary institutions that concluded an agreement with the Speryk, the head of the Ministry of Executive Department personally "recommended" to cooperate with it. However, the official himself denies this, referring to the legislation and the lack of official influence on Prozorro procedures.
The situation raises questions about the opacity of budget allocation in the field of sports, as well as possible abuse of office. The investigation is ongoing.
