Court gives 10 years for brutal murder on a farm in Khmelnytskyi district

A court in Vinnytsia region sentenced a man who brutally beat an acquaintance and tried to bury him. According to police, the incident occurred on the territory of one of the farms in Khmilnytsia district.

During the conflict, the convict inflicted serious bodily injuries on his 46-year-old acquaintance. Believing that the victim was dead, the attacker loaded him into a wheelbarrow and took him to a field, where he tried to bury him. When the man regained consciousness, the attacker struck him again with a shovel and fled. The victim died of his injuries in hospital.

The attacker, who had previously been held criminally liable for theft and drug crimes, was detained by police on the territory of the same farm.

By court verdict, a 29-year-old resident of Khmilnytskyi district was sentenced to 10 years in prison for premeditated murder under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
