An airplane and property worth 8 million, not listed in the declaration, were found on the property of a deputy from the Servant of the People party.

Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council deputy Serhiy Vedernikov, elected from the Servant of the People party, has been suspected by the Khmelnytskyi regional police of falsely declaring assets. The assets in question are worth over 8 million hryvnias, including an ultralight aircraft.

As reported by "Slidstvo.Info", law enforcement officers discovered undeclared property on the deputy's property, among which an aircraft attracted particular attention. According to investigators, the market value of such an ultralight aircraft is about 89 thousand euros. However, Vedernikov did not mention its existence in the declaration for 2024.

The deputy himself, in response to the accusations, stated that he did not consider the specified equipment to be a full-fledged transport:
This is not an airplane, it is just a structure. I bought it for a hobby. It is disassembled and is lying with me in Kamianets-Podilskyi. I did not think that such a thing needed to be declared ,” he stated.

However, law enforcement officials have a different opinion. They believe that this is a case of intentional concealment of property. The case is also accompanied by the discovery of land plots, which, according to Vedernikov himself, he “didn’t remember” because he allegedly purchased them a long time ago.

In addition, the deputy noted that part of the property belongs to his company, and not to him personally.
I was previously told that I did not declare 100 cars. But this is the equipment of my company — a transport company. At the time of filing the declaration, there were 75 cars in the fleet, and all of them are part of the business ,” he commented.

Vedernikov considers the actions of law enforcement officers an attempt at political pressure, but is ready for court:
"The prosecutor's office has changed - and they want to take the case to court. Let them. I have a lawyer, we will figure everything out legally."

Serhiy Vedernikov is a businessman from Kamianets-Podilskyi, known as the owner of the “ViknoPlus” trademark and co-founder of the “Kapoglass” private enterprise. According to his declaration, in 2024 he earned over 11 million hryvnias, declared 8 loans and about 20 million in cash.

It is worth noting that Vedernikov's political career began back in 2010, when he was a deputy from the "Party of Regions", and in 2020, as a candidate from the "Servant of the People", he ran for mayor of Kamianets-Podilskyi, but lost the election.

He was charged with making false declarations. If proven guilty, the politician could face criminal liability.
